Fundraising
REACT is offering internships for bright and motivated people looking to gain experience and develop skills for a career in the environmental sector. The following fundraising internship opportunities are available:
1) sourcing, developing and submitting grant applications
2) sourcing, developing and submitting corporate social responsibility proposals
3) maintaining and developing relationships with individual donors
4) developing and implementing a monthly giving programme
PR
REACT needs budding PR gurus to spread the word of REACT's great work and get us known by people who want to help endangered animals. Interns interested in developing their portfolios should contact us. We are looking for interns that can do the following:
1) develop and disseminate stories that will be picked up by the media
2) monitoring media channels for stories and campaigns of interest to REACT
3) building goodwill amongst our members
Social Media
Social media is at the forefront of REACT's communication strategy. Interns that are interested in gaining experience and contributing to animals threatened with extinction should contact us as this is an area we are keen to develop. Social media interns will be expected to:
1) develop and distribute blogs
2) develop and distribute social media content
3) increase Twitter and Facebook audience
4) develop Facebook Page
5) develop social bookmarking
6) upload pictures and videos to social media networks
7) maintain and improve Google Adwords account
Skills required by ALL interns
- Interested candidates should be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- interest in or knowledge of conservation and animal welfare issues
- clear and concise writing of reports and proposals
- competency in ICT
- self motivation
- organisational skills
- problem solving and creative thinking
A successful intern will be given a specific area of work, and supported in the planning and delivery by REACT's founder, Mr Guillaume Feldman. A minimum commitment of two days a week for a period of three months will be expected. Exceptional interns may eventually be considered for a paid position, however the internships are not remunerated.
